Ms. Carlson’s experience encompasses 40 years with US oil & gas majors, primarily Marathon Oil, and 10 years consulting part-time as KC Geoscience Consulting. The first 20 years, work included technical and management roles in US exploration, and geoscience technology management. In the latter 30 years, the primary focus has been international exploration and business development across 4 continents from high level to great detail, traveling to 27 countries for business. Karen currently specializes in turning overlooked and vintage datasets into new exploration opportunities, bringing unique insight into petroleum systems worldwide, developing new opportunities in areas that have been ignored for many decades.
