Dr. Amir Mirchi is a global mining executive with more than 30 years of international experience in leadership, business transformation, and long-term value creation across the metals and mining industry.

As Chief Executive Officer of Sarmin Metals and Westcrest Liberia, he sets the company’s strategic direction and leads its investment agenda. Under his leadership, Sarmin Metals’ flagship iron ore project in Liberia is advancing toward production, positioning the company as a trusted supplier of premium iron ore products that support greener steelmaking and the transition to a lower-carbon economy.

Combining strategic vision, technical depth, and practical insight, Dr. Mirchi is committed to building a responsible, world-class iron ore operation that delivers lasting value for investors, host communities, and the host country.

Earlier in his career, he held leadership roles at Alcan and Rio Tinto, including serving as Regional Vice President.
